SOUNDWALK IN CONNECTION TO KANDINSKY

“IMAGINING THE CURRENT-FUTURENOW”

@ H’art Museum Amsterdam

Kandinsky had a close relationship with music, sound and performing arts. Especially for the Kandinsky exhibition, interdisciplinary artist Søren Siebel created a unique soundwalk: Imagining the Current-Futurenow. With vocal prompts, soundscapes and specially made compositions by five contemporary sound and one perfomance artists, the soundwalk creates a mesmerizing dialogue between sound and image

Connecting Kandinsky’s work into the now, asking how abstract art can be political and what impulses it can provide for current discourses.

During this special soundwalk, visitors will be guided through the exhibition while being immersed in a space of sound, movement and image.
Siebel brought together a wide range of diverse artists, both well-known names and up-and-coming talent from the eclectic and experimental electronic music world.
